Rise2Care is hiring for our Care and Safety Teams. To work in these roles, you must be 18 years old or older, have a clean driving record and possess the following qualities:

Detail oriented
Able to work on your feet outdoors
Able to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment
Enjoy customer service
Have an empathetic approach
A genuine desire to make an impact in your community

Willing to learn new skills and receive detailed training (like trauma-informed care, emotional and mental health first aid)
Ability to carry out duties without supervision
Good writing and communication skills

Care and Safety Team members should enjoy work with a heavy emphasis on customer service and outreach. These teams spend most of their shifts working on their feet and outdoors on the streets of Portland, interacting with business owners, residents (housed and unhoused), and shoppers. Building relationships through common ground and shared experiences, these teams focus on maintaining strong relationships with businesses and residents, including facilitating connections to resources for houseless neighbors.
